This new 15 year old expression is the result of a unique combination of both bourbon and sherry oak casks. The result is an intense Macallan with hints of rose and cinnamon, delivering a lingering finish with hints of orange, chocolate and dried fruit.

- Pale yellow gold.
- Nose
- Alcohol, Vanilla, Syrup, Toffee. Water brings out peat and pepper.

- Dry, Full and thick.
- Palate

Lovely and sweet. This one will please speyside and highland drinkers.

- Color
- thick apple juice
- Nose
- Plums, subtle wood, almost floral
- Body
- Surprisingly heavy, mouth filling
- Palate
- The sea, salty and cool, floral like jasmine rice, the oak is soft and remains hidden at first very little burn, dried apricots and a hint of pears
- Finish
- Deep but short finish very light on the burn but not on warmth, like sitting in front of a fireplace in your favorite chair on a cold night
Well worth the price, very easy to drink right from the start this is a comforting scotch smooth and mellow very refined, The Macallan never disappoints

Jim Murray rated this whisky a 94, I would have to fully agree. Not all scotch is about PEAT and Smoke, smooth fruit and floral notes are what this scotch is all about.

- Color
- Gold, Light Bourbon
- Nose
- Fruitcake, Candy, Astringent, After adding Water = Pancake Syrup.
- Body
- Syrupy, Sharp and Thick. Leggy.
- Palate
- Acidic , Orange Peel, Sugar, Apricot. After adding a small amount of water, sweetness came out. I should have left it neat.
- Finish
- Warm, not particularly interesting
I finally finished this fine Whiskey off after about a year and a half. It is tremendous malt, which grew on me as I drank it this year. It is not too terribly complex, but it is interesting enough. Sweet and wonderful, this is what Single Malts should taste like.

Very average. Weak nose and average palate. If I were drinking it blindfolded, I'd have trouble distinguishing it from a Glenlivet 12. Gives the impression of a whisky that should have been left alone to age longer. I've had my first and last bottle.
