    Color
    Amber + 1
    Nose
Neat: Maple, lemons/tangerines, cinnamon, vanilla. Watered: Smoky Vanilla, Sherry, Gerwurstraminer, Maple. 31/33
    Body
    Medium Viscosity, Sparse slow-forming legs.
    Palate
Neat: Oranges, chocolate, smoke, a bit acrid in the mouth. Watered: Smokey Oranges, toast 30/33
    Finish
Neat: Vanilla, Pepper, very mild burn. Easy to drink. It has a Quite pleasant fruity/sherry profile. Watered. Spicy, Smokey, almost bitter, lemon rind, earthiness. 28/30

Drink this neat. I took it neat in a scotch glass. Water degrades this whisky, especially in the finish, some of the layers of complexity are lost. Water does bring out a smokeir presence especially in the nose, but this is not worth the loss in flavor. A Marvelous Whisky, but expensive. Expect to pay between $135 and $160 USD, in 2012.

    Nose
Mellow sherry, butterscotch, faint apple and ripe pear.
    Body
Medium body, silky and very smooth.
    Palate
Sherry but not overpowering, dark rich fruit, maybe a little currant and cinnamon.
    Finish
Long silky legs, exceptionally smooth and complex. Ends a bit dry which appeals to me.

Normally prefer Islays, but this is a gem, and not too sweet for my palate.

    Color
    Golden yellow.
    Nose
    Sweet and fruity.
    Body
I was surprised by its thickness.
    Palate
Honeyed sweetness, with orange hints, and just a touch of citrus.
    Finish
Crisp and clean. This is one of the most refreshing malts that I've had.

Smooth and incredibly pleasant to drink. Not as complex or challenging as I usually like (I'm an Islay fan), but it's a delight nonetheless.

    Subtle gold.
    Nose
    Hints of fruit and sweetness.
    Body
    Surprisingly thick and coating.
    Palate
Honeyed sweetness with traces of fruit. Also a nice crispness that hints of citrus.
    Finish
    Clean and pleasant. Remarkably crisp.

Simply lovely. Not nearly as aggressive or challenging as the Islays that I usually love, but this is an absolutel pleasure to drink. Smooth, flavorful, and well-balanced.

    Palate
Sherry, Buttery, Cloves other spices a little bit of honey.
    Finish
Medium Long, with a Taste of Oak, Also a Sweet after taste almost like Sugar.

This is my first Macallan and It does have a strong Sherry Taste. Also very Smooth and Soft. It is a very good whisky and it's quite expensive. A very nice Dram but not very interesting.
