    Body
Full bodied. Bourbon cask emparts a very strong flavour, almost overpowering.
    Finish
medium finish, with strong oak at first, and later hints of floral and citrus.

This bottling is 47% abv. Although this is a smooth whisky, I don't see it as a everyday drink - for that I would choose the Glenlivet 12 which is lighter and more fruity. Those who like Bourbon may enjoy this 16 year old bottling, as the bourbon casks used really show through when tasting.

    Color
    Golden Straw
    Nose
Oatmeal raisin cookie, clay, some nose tickle, a little beeswax and spice
    Body
Medium body very warm almost hot in the mouth.
    Palate
Powerful attack on the palate at first sip, peppery. Spicy getting more sweeter with the cask oak there in the background. Very one-dimension and simple.
    Finish
Hot oaky spice slowly fades. The spice lingers.

Water and a nice rest period tames the 57% ABV a little, opening up the nose more. This isn't a complex or balanced whisky, It's better suited for times when a raw whisky with more kick than flavor is the order of the day.
