Taken from the gaelic vernacular, Nadurra is the inspiration for this rich characterful whisky from The Glenlivet, which has not been chill filtered. This gives the whisky a richer texture and mouth feel.

- Color
- Pale gold
- Nose
- slightly sweet with fruit overtaones
- Body
- Excellent mouths effect, don't dare dilute this! Cognac-like
- Palate
- Delicate for it's strength, there is no burbon EVER in this casking - I don't what these other people are drinking! Sweet floral with honey.
- Finish
- Excellent long finish, great for a dessert when tasting multiple malts.
Nadurra is typically 56-59% cask strength, never seen a 47% in Nadurra. This is a unique, mind blowing Sctoch that uses virgin oak casks. Perhaps the Euro versions are 47%. I don't like to dilute good whiskey regardless of what others suggest. When I dilute any good whiskey I'm usually disappointed. Nadurra is superb as-is. It's one of the few vintage disignated cask strength whishkies and it stands out from the burbon bunch. And in fact, I don't care for burbon flavored malts as a rule. Why not drink burbon if that's your taste.

- pepper spray
- Body
- oily and wonderful
- Palate
- Sweet, alcohol, candy?
- Finish
- STRONG! Well balanced
It's hard to describe this whisky. It was incredible in its own right. But since it is cask strength, it was hard to drink. I felt that any water or ice ruined it. But drinking it neat was tough. Sipping it and letting it combine with saliva I thought was the best way drink it.

- Color
- pale gold
- Nose
- oak, citrus, flowers
- Body
- full bodied, the bourbon casks seem to impart a strong flavour, almost overpowering
- Finish
- medium finish that initially hints of oak, but ends with floral and citrus flavours
It seems like a very heavy whisky, sweet and smooth, and rather good with a few drops of water (as I drank it on the second tasting). Without the drops of water, this would be a 75. But this is delicious and easily an 85.

- Nose
- Fruit, Sherry, Lots of alcohol, Prunes
- Body
- Oily, Medium, Wet
- Palate
- Wood, Pepper, Floural notes, Candied citrus peel, Turkish Delight.

- Prune & candied citrus peel kick in towards the end. Long and warm.
A very novel whisky. This one has a bitter candy kick in the finish that can't be understated.
