A young Dalmore single malt intended to be a good compliment to a cigar.

    Color
    Golden caramel
    Nose
Fruity with alcohol and the slightest hint of peat. Satisfying and exciting
    Body
A little oily but full, an explosion of citrus and nut.
    Palate
Expanding flavors with a solid injection of alcohol and oak.
    Finish
Good at first, then everything goes dreadfully wrong, the building flavors collapse on one another in a cataclysmic and terrible finish. This killed the experience for me, this is the last bottle of The Dalmore 12 I will be buying

I was severely disappointed with this malt. For a moderately priced scotch, i was expecting the whole package, not just 2/3 of the experience. Everything was great up until the finish.

    Color
    Amber
    Nose
Fully bodied, dense. With hint of toffee/caramel.
    Body
Just like it smells. Full, rich, with a bit of caramel.
    Palate
    Caramel, no peat.
    Finish
Long finish, remains strong, just slightly more mellow at the end. Some bite.

A near perfect pairing with a fine cigar, but stands well on its own.

    Color
    maple syrup
    Nose
extremely rich, desserty, chocolate and bit of orange liqueur but w/ more caramel/toffee/butterscotch notes. Bourbon. A wildly delicious-smelling drink.
    Body
    thick and full.
    Palate
See aromas. Tastes are similar but less startling.
    Finish
    long and sweet finish.

yummy but not for everyone, esp if you like it dry, or peaty, or any of the more usual single characteristics.
