The 10 Year Old is the perfect introduction to the Springbank range. Whilst bourbon casks are mainly used for maturation, allowing the distillery character to shine through, a number of sherry casks are also used for added body. The light colour of this malt belies the richness of its character. Whilst the nose suggests a wide range of aromas, from citrus fruits to pears and a hint of peat, the palate excites even further with a touch of smoke, vanilla essence, nutmeg, cinnamon and the salty tang we have come to expect from Springbank. Complexity is the key word here yet it remains perfectly balanced from first sip to the full, rich finish.

- Color
- Orange - Old Gold
- Nose
- Peat, Bacon fat, Wet hyde, Cereal, Alcohol, Sea death when watered
- Body
- Full, Sharp, Slightly dry. Becomes quite sweet with water.
- Palate
- Peat, Sea death, Brine, Seaweed, Chocolate hiding beneath it all. Water brings out lots of oak.
- Finish
- Long burn, Sea death, Rocky beach. Very long with water developing into sweet mint and oak.
Very complex and flavourful for being so young. A cold rocky seashore whisky. Loves water.

- Color
- Pale gold.
- Nose
- Complex...wet earth/moss, sweet fruity flowers, light sea salt and a touch of that camphor/band-aid phenol.
- Body
- Light, thin.
- Palate
- Confirms the nose, complex.
- Finish
- Perhaps one of the 'freshest' finishes. Short, medium warm, but a nice malty gingery pepper caboose adds more to the already complex taste.
A little something for everyone - sweet fruity earthy peat with salty mist, gingery oak wood, and a nice lightly peppery finish.

- Color
- light gold
- Nose
- pricky before adding water, oaky, peat smoke and wet morning by the sea
- Body
- medium-bodied
- Palate
- briney, ginger spice, light smoked fish.
- Finish
- medium length finish, warm, complex, a little burny in the throat w/o water.
An very good 10yo single malt with surprising complexity. It's a very hot and sexy drink. Will remain my infatuation for a long time.

- Color
- light gold
- Nose
- Lots of mild notes mingling with each other. Ocean, light smoke, wet vegetation, honey.
- Body
- medium bodied, slightly oily
- Palate
- Brine, a good amount of peat, hazelnut, honey, vanilla
- Finish
- Relatively long finish featuring peat and toated nuts with honey. Excellent finish.
Craft presentation with no color added and no chill filtration. There is a good amount of peat here which seems to drown out some of the other subtle notes. Overall, a very good scotch!
