A classic coastal style of malt, it has sweet, toffee edges with notes of heather honey on the silky-smooth palate.

- Color
- Pale amber
- Nose
- Smokey sugar, caramel, a little citrus
- Body
- Medium bodied, thin oil, not greassy, sufficient.
- Palate
- It's a little smokey, sweet and in the distance a little salt, almonds. Very balanced, easy to handle but a little medicinal at the end.
- Finish
- Long, just after swallowing it is spicey and hot, it eases down to something very nice and smooth that stays long.
It is very worth tasting and enjoying. Not to complicated, maybe better to say smooth and not hectic, but subtile exciting and tasty enough to say it is on the edge of exceptional.

- Color
- Amber gold
- Nose
- Sweet vanilla and honey, heather, floral and fruit notes.
- Body
- Creamy and mouth coating.
- Palate
- The flavour lives up to the nose. Sweet butterscotch, honey and soft smoke.
- Finish
- Slowly warming, slightly peppery. Can be a little bitter sometimes, but another sip fixes that!
I really like this malt. An excellent dram to have with dessert.

- Color
- Medium-dark gold
- Nose
- Honey heather, sugar cane (like a fine aged rum), fruity pears
- Body
- Thin viscosity, though a deceivingly cool and creamy feeling on the tongue
- Palate
- Bitter rubber tires, sweet Orkney heather, followed by a lingering cereal sugar cane
- Finish
- Short, but medium warmth, with just a bit more petrol afterbreath than my liking
I give them props for this expression. It delivers the good character one expects from Orkney - but it just lacks a little refinement. I agree with other reviewers that this is best enjoyed neat.

- Palate
- Peat, orange, slight iodine. bitter.
- Finish
- very long lingering finish, hot.
Although a very good whisky, this one was a bit of a disappoint - I found it too bitter on the palate, however, I did enjoy the aroma. Overall quite well balanced.

- Color
- Straw gold
- Nose
- Salty seas, lavender, wet stones, pineapple! Muted, faint citrus notes.
- Body
- Syrupy and thick, but not heavy.
- Palate
- Salty and tangy. Sweet pineapple, beefsteak tomatoes, salt caramel. Earthy and malty.
- Finish
- Medium length. Salty seaweed, Japanese nori (dried seaweed you get in sushi rolls). Something sweet, not sure what.
Very interesting. Salt and tangy fruit notes, something I like very much. Scapa usually tastes of pineapple to me, although I'm not sure any other tasting notes I've read describe it as such. Better than the 12 year old.

- Nose
- Alcohol, Strong, Malt, Caramel, Burnt sugar, Lots of wood, Salt, Candy ginger, Butter
- Body
- Mild and sweet. Medium weight.
- Palate
- Caramel, Malt, Butter, Slightly sour grassiness. Water brings out more creamy butter and more peat.
- Finish
- Clean, Spicy, Grassy, Vanilla, Nutmeg. Water brings out alot of butter.
Very creamy and buttery with a perfect dash of saltiness. Slightly grassy sour and vanilla finish. Dont water this one. If you do, water it very slightly for more butter, but more sour aswell.
