    Color
    Dark deep Amber colour.
    Nose
Full nose of Liquorice, hickory and woodsmoke.
    Body
Medium full bodied and mouth coating.
    Palate
First taste of strong sour wine and hickory with sweeter attack.
    Finish
Quite a long finish of liquorice and sweet corn. Nice development.

As a UK resident this was one of my first 'true' Bourbons. Strong robust start but good smoother finish!

    Dark Gold with Bronze highlights.

Deep nose of cherries, vanilla, Xmas cake and caramel.
    Body
Medium full body with slight oil.
    Palate
First taste of sweet fruit, slight caramel and port wine.

A very good rich and well balanced Japanese malt which needs time to grow on you - but worth the wait!

    Color
Dark Amber colour with Gold highlights
    Nose
Wonderful nose of heather, honey jam and a wisp of peat smoke.
    Body
Medium full bodied and quite oily.
    Palate
Great first taste of honey, smooth spice, low peat and mouth clinging smokiness.
    Finish
Long warming finish of syrup, spice and peat - with a lingering but not overpowering slight peat smoke. An absolute classic Island malt.

This is a review of the 'newer' flat bottle Highland Park 18 year old.
