- Color
- light amber
- Nose
- sweet malted-grain; vanilla.
- Body
- medium-full, Slightly tannic/acerbic
- Palate
- Sweet malt. It's got a bit of a fruity-tanginess, maybe grapefruit. There's a ripe, tannic-oakiness in the background, and a hint ot rye-like sourness,
- Finish
- Medium-long finish. The sweetness starts to fade, leaving a fruity, lemony zing, The tannic mouth-feel fades with the lemon.
This is an intruiging irish. It's not especially complex, but enjoyable nonetheless. It's definitely worth tasting, but not terribly exciting.

- Color
- carmel amber
- Nose
- acetone, solvent smell. Like rubbing alcohol. There is a slight smoky peat zing in the background
- Body
- thing, zingy and sharp
- Palate
- it tastes like it smells. Foul, somewhat sour.
- Finish
- short hot alcohol burn, Not much flavour (thankfully)
truly a horrid blend. It's surprising how bad this stuff is. The only real use I can think of for this stuff is as a mixer. The next step up in the JW line, the black, is a MASSIVE improvement and actually an enjoyable drink.

- Color
- golden
- Nose
- iodine, salt, wood smoke, peat.
- Body
- medium, slightly-watery body, strong, punchy flavor intensity
- Palate
- salty, peaty punch. very dry. hints of smoke; slight iodine
- Finish
- Hot, dry finish. What tiny little maltiness there is quickly fades, leaving a dry smoky burn.
Not my thing. I don't like the balance of flavours. For a 16yo, it seems a bit harsh still. For a nice smoky islay blast, I'll stick to Laphroaig and Talisker.

- Color
- golden amber
- Nose
- smoke, peat, malt grain, salt, iodine
- Body
- full bodied; medium-strong.
- Palate
- tastes like the sea. There is smoky peatiness present, but not as present as in the normal Laphroaig. Malty-sweet undertones
- Finish
- long, even, warm finish, Nicely balanced
This one certainly IS a keeper. Surprisingly smooth and mature tasting for such a relatively young whisky.

- Body
- light and creamy

A solid example of a Canadian whisky. It's worth keeping some around.
