    Color
The afternoon sun in late August shining through orange stained glass windows.
    Nose
Heather and vanilla cream. A seaside freshness. Cut grass on a recently watered lawn. Oak and sherry.
    Body
Incredibly smooth for a whiskey of such high ABV. Light but complex.
    Palate
Peat balanced by sherry. Marshmallows. Bonfires in the summertime making smores. Sea salt, vanilla, butter cream, dry autumn leaves burning on a cold day.
    Finish
It's like a train that you ride on for a while. You ride then get off but the whiskey keeps going.

One of those whiskeys that you never forget. A permanent member and centerpiece of my scotch cabinet.
