SMOKE!!! Some nice malty sweetness like light honey mixed with sweet fruits like pears too. Some peat. Some very light salt
    Body
Medium body. Oily and very smooth.
    Palate
Starts off with some salt (light) and peat. Then goes with the sweetness described (fruits being only very light in the taste) with honey and malty sweet tastes. A bit of spice
    Finish
Long, smooth, mostly oak and tons of smoke, as expected. Gets sweeter at the end.

Very good whisky for the price. Most of the flavors are distinct, giving it a multidimensional aspect.

Eventually, lots of smoke going on here. Sea salt and peat are present too. Some malty sweetness going on: caramel, toffee and vanilla mostly. A bit of floral/fruity stuff going on in the background. Oak is present also.
    Body
Not heavy (medium), but still oily in texture.
    Palate
SMOKE! Some malty sweetness (read toffee, vanilla and molasses) upfront but quickly dissipates to a little bit of peat and Oak. Sea salt is there all along. The floral and fruity characteristics of the smell aren't present much here.
    Finish
Medium to long. Smooth. Smoke, then oak, then it gets a bit sweet (molasses and toffee mostly).

Very very well balanced, which is hard to accomplish with so much strong flavors going on (smoke, oak, etc...). I was really impressed with this whisky, especially if I keep in mind its (relatively) low price. One that I'm sure will enjoy a lot.

Distinct floral smell going on, earth, smoke, oak, buckwheat honey, old pear, raisins, some salt water. After a few sips, I could detect some vanilla and milk chocolate in the smell (which was not really expected).
    Body
Aggressive, yet sticky and syrupy. Medium to full bodied with a nice presence.
    Palate
Sea salt, earth and peat, a bit of smoke and oak are the dominant flavors. Maybe some pepper here too. The malty sweetness of the nose are much more hidden here as well as the floral notes, but still present.
    Finish
Long lasting dry wood like finish. Oak, earth/peat.

This is my first review. I'm a good beer taster and wanted to get my malt buds to another level. So here I am, trying to make decent reviews of whisky. For this one, I'll stick with the mean, since I think it's a very enjoyable whisky but I'm not knowledgeable enough to give a precise rating the way I can do it with beer. I'm 20 (in Canada, don't worry) and hope to be one day a fine whisky taster.
