- very basic smooth irish whiskey without any exceptional taste cutting through.
- Finish

i think this is the cheapest drinkable whisky i know. totally without attitude, but no disturbing tastes either. i think irish guys accomplished something scotchmen failed with their red label. if you are short on cash, go get one and you wont regret, its cheap but in no means junk whiskey! solid 65 comes from here, good job, Jameson!

i really dont underestand the popularity of this beverage... it has no interesting taste, everything is killed with strong sense of alcohol. for me it is hard to underestand how same producer produces black label and red label, as black label is totally ok whiskey. save yourself one mean hangover and get bottle of vodka instead.
Johnnie Walker Black Label 12 Years Old Jul 30th 2010

- Color
- nice golden
- Nose
- sweet with small hint of smoke.
- Body
- oily, solid.
- Palate
- smooth with sweet smokey traces, really nothing special. at the other hand, nothing disturbing as well.
- Finish
- faints away quite fast
black label is something i call benchmark scotch < solid foundation of good whiskey but bit dull and without attitude. 69 as its good solid whiskey to drink, but really lacks character.

- Color
- golden
- Nose
- strong fruity, hint of smoke
- Body
- medium-strong
- Palate
- rich fruity palette, sweet and bit spicy. not really smokey but some traces. overall strong taste though, but not due to alcohol (what makes it solid rich whisky).
- Finish
- pretty strong attack, lasts long. prefer in smaller sips.
solid rich whisky. worth tasting, but nothing exceptionally interesting though (so 80 it goes). something that black label should be (and black label is something red label should be and red label is something that should not be at all :) )

- Color

- Nose
- Very heavy smoke. hints of fruits and iodine, but overall smoke is dominating all over.
- Body
- thick as tar
- Palate
- smoked horse sweat.
- Finish
- for several hours everything tastes smokey. after carefully washing the glass it still smells smokey. next day kitchen smelled like smoke because glass was washed there :) real experience. I like drinks with attitude and this is definately one.
love/hate thing. if you like smoked stuff you really should check it out. otherwise avoid. rated it 95% because i belong to smoke lovers side:) + one square feet of land in scotland, yahoo!

- Color
- bit darker amber
- Nose
- medium smoke, rich pattern of fruits. smell palette mixing up perfectly. best "smelling" whisky i have ever had.
- Body
- oily, thick.
- Palate
- smoke, fruity, a bit of "horse sweat" along. would expect a bit more from the gorgeus smell, but still very good.
- Finish
- smooth and long lasting.
my absolute favorite scotch in it's price range. exceptional smell.
