Crown Royal

Review by: TheDippMann
Color: Desert Sand
Nose: Very light, fruity
Body: Light
Palate: Not too much there, but like mandarin oranges.
Finish: Not bad, lasting taste of a dull fruit.

Crown is not the best of whiskies but is my favorite Canadian. It is certainly a perfect compliment to a soda (try with root beer!), but not much on its own. To me, it is a good whisky for the price paid. My grandfather's favorite.

The Macallan 12 Years Old

Review by: TheDippMann
Color: Liquid gold
Nose: Very light, slight woodiness
Body: Very light and smooth
Palate: Slight peat, cinnamon, and a butterscotch sweet.
Finish: Amazing finish, makes my tongue salivate.

The Macallan is a surefire any day. It's worth the price if you enjoy a good Scotch. One of my favorites!

Aberlour a'bunadh

Review by: TheDippMann
Color: Like damp sand
Nose: Reminds me of a wet night.
Body: Heavy
Palate: Sweet like fruit, very similar to mandarin oranges.
Finish: Very warm and tingly. Satisfying!

A surprisingly spectacular whiskey. Being 120 proof, it is incredibly smooth. The flavor is rich and doesn't leave me wanting one bit. I would recommend any day as one to at least try once! Everybody (even non whisky drinkers!) that I have introduced this to has taken to it quite well.
