- Smilin' Peat
- Color
- Maple syrup.
- Nose
- Smoke and burnt sugar. Seaspray. Nothing harsh. You do not need an experienced nose to appreciate this Islay.
- Body
- Rich and unctuous. A blanket for the tongue.
- Palate
- Complements the nose completely. No surprises. Positively juicy with pipe tobacco, vanilla, aromatic honey and a touch of the sea.
- Finish
- Melts into you like the hands of a great masseuse.
Hands down the best "affordable" Islay I've tasted. It beats 'em all with a trifecta of colour, body and nose. A bit pricey, but just plain worth it. Michael Jackson's rating is spot on!
