Red Breast 12 Year Old

Body: Wet and Oily
Palate: Mild, Tingy bite that diminishes quickly, Caramel flavours.
Finish: Cool and clean. Not terribly fascinating.
It's a nice whisky. I'm not in a real hurry to try it agian though.
Laphroaig Quarter Cask

Body: Wet, Full, Soft
Palate: Salt, Peat, Wood smoke, Burning driftwood
Finish: Cool, Long lasting, Astringent flavours throughout, Pleasingly even
I will drink this again. To the mature palate, this is Laphroaig againt for the first time.
Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Nose: Phenol, Something sweet, Sherry? Oak
Body: Heavy, Dryer
Palate: Oak, Caramely, Sugar, Alcohol
Finish: Long and warming. Not unpleaseant at all.
I really enjoy this whiskey. I would drink it again.
Woodford Reserve Distiller's Select

Nose: Phenol, Rocket Fuel, Boozy, Medicinal
Body: Medium, Sweet
Palate: Caramel, Alcohol, Puckering, Astringent
Finish: Simple, Short, Sours towards the end
The burning from the alcohol really overpowers any flavours.
Auchentoshan 10 Years Old

Body: Medium body.
Palate: Peat, Tangy.
Finish: Pretty long and warming
Not very interesting.
The Balvenie Doublewood 12 Year Old

Nose: Hot, Citrusy
Body: Medium, Sweet
Palate: Tangy, Peat smoke and Sherry in very small amounts.
Finish: A hot finish, mostly in the mouth. Lasts for some time.
Not all that complex. A bit on the sour side, but well balanced, otherwise. More peat and sherry with water.
Strathisla 12 Year Old

Nose: Butterscotch! Peat
Body: Thin, and gets thinner
Palate: Alcohol, Peat, Not much else.
Finish: Fades quickly

Lagavulin 16 Year Old

Body: Thick and swishy, Full bodied
Palate: Salt, Tangy, Logs of peat, Balanced
Finish: Long, Powerful, but gentle
Lagavulin 12 Year Old Natural Cask Strength

Nose: Phenol, Rubbing alcohol at full strength.
Body: Thin, for a moment then intensifies. Thickens quickly.
Palate: Bitter, though delicious. Sour, Peat, Salt.
Finish: Long and strong. Takes its time, not that i would want it to hurry.
Watered, Flavours remain, but thinner. Not worth watering. Drink full strength.
The Glenlivet 21 Years Old

Nose: Citrus, Candy, Mustard.
Body: Thin. Strange, it feels full, but then it fades away. Still good.
Palate: Peat, Smoke, Salt.
Finish: Sour and good. Short.
