- Nose
- Tremendous amount of peat. BOOM BABY! Followed a with a little caramel/vanilla maybe? Oakish...
- Body
- I consider Highland 12 a full bodied scotch. I would say The Peat Monster is a 3/4 full body. Not quite the thickness of Highland 12 but almost there.
- Palate
- Peat like no other, finishes with a soft almost oak flavor.
- Finish
- Finish is a good length. Not too short and not incredibly long. Such a nice finish with great aftertaste. For me, I keep taking the oak flavor for a while. And I'm not complaining.
Lots of peat and flavor with a smooth finish. Personally, I love a really peaty scotch. This is my first blend but I could easily drink this all night long...
