- Color
- backlit glowing gold
- Nose
- Wet wood making a smoky campfire on a beach. Burning cedar and a salty seabreeze.
- Body
- Oily and medium bodied. It has a syrupy thickness to it. Like distilled water.
- Palate
- Punch in the face from PEAT. Followed my sea salt, nori paper (like seaweed paper in sushi), and then black licorice. Add 4-5 drops of dist. water and you get more sweet dried fruit. Too much and you will just get smoky tasting again and no other nuance.
- Finish
- saturates the mouth with heat, especially the front if you lick your lips. Long lasting finish, tastes like you smoked a cigar.
Lots of specific personality. Memorable and worth having as an example of good heavily, seabreezed, peated and aged islay scotch to share that won't really break the bank, but will also impress.
