    Color
    Cherry Wood
    Nose
    Sweet, almost caramel. Ashy.
    Body
    Oily and thick.
    Palate
    Sweet, and mildly spicy.
    Finish
Not a long finish, if you blink, you miss it.

Better than the standard JB, but not my first choice for a bourbon.

    Color
    Soft copper, and amber tones.
    Nose
Spicy, with a light peat. Pleasant.
    Body
    Light, and smooth.
    Palate
Spicy, mild flavor reminiscent of spiced peaches. Nutty, and smooth,
    Finish
    Medium finish, it doesn't linger.

This was the first bottle of Scotch I ever bought, and this is what made a scotch drinker out of me. I love a glass of this, neat, after a big dinner or a long day. Easy to drink, and smoother than the younger bottles.

    Color
    Topaz and Gold
    Nose
    Smokey, peaty, new leather, meaty.
    Body
    Full bodied, mildly oily.
    Palate
You can taste the peat and sea salt. Add a splash of cold spring water and you can taste the malt.
    Finish
LONG finish. I was enjoying it well after my last sip. Warm going down, but the warmth fades. The "smoke" lingers.

I was turned onto this malt by a Scotsman while I was on a business trip to the UK. Not my favorite glass to drink regularly, but a must have for a cold, rainy night. Cheers!
