Better than the standard JB, but not my first choice for a bourbon.

This was the first bottle of Scotch I ever bought, and this is what made a scotch drinker out of me. I love a glass of this, neat, after a big dinner or a long day. Easy to drink, and smoother than the younger bottles.

- Color
- Topaz and Gold
- Nose
- Smokey, peaty, new leather, meaty.
- Body
- Full bodied, mildly oily.
- Palate
- You can taste the peat and sea salt. Add a splash of cold spring water and you can taste the malt.
- Finish
- LONG finish. I was enjoying it well after my last sip. Warm going down, but the warmth fades. The "smoke" lingers.
I was turned onto this malt by a Scotsman while I was on a business trip to the UK. Not my favorite glass to drink regularly, but a must have for a cold, rainy night. Cheers!
