- Color
- Caramel coloured, old penny.

- Crisp, sweet, minty, burnt sugar
- Body
- Medium light, slightly oily
- Palate
- Leather, burnt sugar, salt toffee, cola. A hint of crisp grainy spirit.
- Finish
- Cola and sugar fade slowly until black cherry and cola.
I want to say something about this whiskey without mentioning Buffallo trace, or Jim Beam sour mash, but it's hard to do so. It's got the cherry cola kick of one, and the leathery headiness of the other. Very nice whiskey!

- Palate
- Spicy with peppery cinnamon and ginger, Sweet with a rye crispness showing through.
- Finish

A novel whisky liqueur. Sweet and spicy like a spiced rum. A little too sweet for an Islay drinker, but enjoyable for what it is.

The name says it all. This is a very respectable peat monster from an innovative distillery.
