Somewhere along the line Talisker accrued an undying reputation that it seemingly lives off of. While I found it enjoyable, I strain to find qualities the "experts" heap upon it. I'm still looking for all of that "pepper" and the finish is disappointingly short for my taste. I must assume my ambivelance is due to the high expectations built by the many grand reviews. This is one I'll buy in a bar for a change of pace but, I have a many a preference ahead of it on my shopping list of bottles destined for the cellar.

BY far and away, my favorite dram. All others are ranked apart from it's lofty perch.
