I saw this bourbon for a long time before trying it. I was definitely wrong. Not the best bourbon but definitely a good one that worth a try. Good product for the price.

I am surprised at the somewhat low score. This is one of my favorite whiskys. It is not very expensive and is best neat. Not a very good mixer, but one of the best to drink straight.

- Color
- Reddish amber.
- Nose
- Vanilla, apple, brown sugar.
- Body
- Medium-bodied, smooth and creamy. Doesn't burn.
- Palate
- Sour apple, vanilla, caramel notes coming through, with subtle undertones of molasses.
- Finish
- A warming, tingly finish that doesn't last too long but lingers enough to make me want another sip.
I prefer Maker's with just a touch of pure, room-temperature water. It's not an extremely complex whiskey, but it is pleasant, drinkable, and very smooth.
