Johnnie Walker Green Label is blended only from single malts which include its four signature malts Talisker, Cragganmore, Linkwood, and Caol Ila. The Johnnie Walker masters of blending concentrate on the keynote flavors in these malts to create the distinctive taste of Green Label.

- light amber
- Nose
- mild vanilla with slight hints of peat and smoke not overpowering but its remarkably like black label on the nose
- Body
- full and smokey like most johnnie walker
- Palate
- wood bark and subtle coffee hints and a smoke finish
- Finish
- lingers but too long has a slightly sour finish
improves drastically with a drop or two of water do not put this on ice like you would with other blends it drowns the whisky my score reflects the fact that it could be improved upon i just hope in the future that it does indeed get improved upon. this blows black label and even chivas 18 out of the water

- Coffee grains, american oak/vanilla. Caramel, ginger, gentle smoke. Creamy fruit notes.
- Body
- medium 43% abv.
- Palate
- Sweet with some earthyness backing it up. Very malty, toffee flavored. Some suttle oak notes, and with time on the tongue comes hints of coal Ilya peat.
- Finish
- Caramel-honey ginger finish. Small hint of smoke.
Most certainly needs time in the glass, and plenty of it. At first was not too impressed, with perseverance comes great reward. Seemed overly sweet at first.

- Nose
- Lighter overall probably because of fresh opened bottle and hope it improves with time. Orange, Oak, White firm fruit, some smoke, mixed spice. Increased oak, floral and vanilla with water.
- Body
- Medium but not thick. smooth with mild mid tongue edge and sharpness. Perhaps a little dry.
- Palate
- Dried citrus, mild smoke but not much peat, mid-tone various fruit and flora, moderate wet oak, decent bite and pepper but has a medicinal dry quality. Water mellows out smoke and oak to leave more vanilla and dark honey.
- Finish
- Medium decent finish. Smooth but then ends with a mild mid tongue astringent, tannic quality. Much like Macallan 12 ending but not as long and not quite as smooth.
Good but somewhat of a letdown. Will probably NOT be missed when gone. I was so excited to try this Green JW because I really like various Single Malt Whiskeys (SMWs) and really love JW Black. I thought this would be a wonderful blend of 4 great SMWs. What I find is a good blended whiskey but NOT great and definitely not better than JW Black - Just different but 2 to 3X the price. The style and tastes are definitely Johnnie Walker, but the tannic finish with smoke but no peat leaves me disappointed.

- Color
- "Pale" would in fact be a good description. Its certainly not golden or rich amber.
- Nose
- This is by no means a big peated dram but that peat & smoke sure greeted my nose first.
- Body
- Fairly smooth. Seemed to have good legs/tears in the glass.
- Palate
- First wave was the peat which quickly fades away. Its very smooth. The more sips I took and longer it breathed the more balanced it got.
- Finish
- Comes on warm at first but very smooth finish. An interesting and enjoyable blended malt.
What a pleasant surprise. Once I heard the Green Label was to be disco'd I went out and bought a bottle for keepsake. First time ever trying it. Its quite unique - would highly recommend.

- Color
- Amber waves of grain
- Nose
- Leather, slightly peaty and fruit notes of orange-tangerine.
- Body
- Creamy and smooth.
- Palate
- A full spectrum of fruit tastes turning to mild peat and then oak.
- Finish
- Medium-long finish, mile burn, fruit notes hanging in the mouth. Not too strong in any direction, and not weak or bland at all. Just nice and soothing.
This is my go-to daily Scotch, when I'm not jonesin' for a heavy peat or sherry. It is spectacularly well balanced and drinkable.

- Color
- Deep Amber
- Nose
- Mostly Sweet, very complex on the nose... I get hints of Oak, vanilla, even some (odd to say) cotton candy. If you continue to nose it wisps of caramel and a little fruit present themselves. A beautiful nose!
- Body
- Robust, but not syrupy. Medium to thick.
- Palate
- Caramel and vanilla briefly at first, followed by a strong oak blast. Layer after layer this one doesn't leave you wanting, the complexity is lovely. This one is sweet, but not overly so... the sweetness is kept well in balance with the other flavors, this is my favorite blend.
- Finish
- Long and warm... like a campfire on a cool evening, without the smoke ;) Not Ardbeg long... but this one lasts a couple minutes, and you can feel it all the way down. The oak and vanilla stick around for a while.
Highly recommend... this is another Whisky, I would describe as a "Must have at all times", when I finish one I get another (if I don't have one on standby). I find new flavors hidden in this blend every time I have some, it's like a familiar but strangely mysterious friend. This blend is the source of some qualities that keep me searching through single malts... I haven't found some of what is hidden in Green Label anywhere else. It is truly a delight!

- Color
- Bright gold with a hint of bronze
- Nose
- Spicy..... and not much else to me.
- Body
- Thin, watery, nothing noteworthy.
- Palate
- Much spicier than most whiskies I've tried, clear Talisker influence. Starts off sweet, but the spiciness rolls in quickly and remains throughout the sip.
- Finish
- Very long finish. I have to wait a solid 2-3 minutes for one sip to completely fade before I take another. Definitely not one to drink quickly if you want to enjoy it.

- Color
- Amber + 1 (due to E150A)
- Nose
- Typical JW nose, slightly peaty, floral, and sweet.
- Body
- Medium body for a malt blend. Not bad. Decent legs. Be careful not add too much water because it will drown the whisky.
- Palate
- Peat, slightly medicinal, floral, raisins, has a sherry character to it, decent quality for a JW brand.
- Finish
- Finish fades quickly. Not a memorable dram but decent enough for a family gathering.
It's a JW Black but with refinement and sophistication. Slightly higher ABV strength but I have to give this an 79 because the selling price is outrageous, it's chill filtered, and due to the E150A artificial coloring.

solid rich whisky. worth tasting, but nothing exceptionally interesting though (so 80 it goes). something that black label should be (and black label is something red label should be and red label is something that should not be at all :) )

- Color
- gold/yellow
- Nose
- Distinct floral smell going on, earth, smoke, oak, buckwheat honey, old pear, raisins, some salt water. After a few sips, I could detect some vanilla and milk chocolate in the smell (which was not really expected).
- Body
- Aggressive, yet sticky and syrupy. Medium to full bodied with a nice presence.
- Palate
- Sea salt, earth and peat, a bit of smoke and oak are the dominant flavors. Maybe some pepper here too. The malty sweetness of the nose are much more hidden here as well as the floral notes, but still present.
- Finish
- Long lasting dry wood like finish. Oak, earth/peat.
This is my first review. I'm a good beer taster and wanted to get my malt buds to another level. So here I am, trying to make decent reviews of whisky. For this one, I'll stick with the mean, since I think it's a very enjoyable whisky but I'm not knowledgeable enough to give a precise rating the way I can do it with beer. I'm 20 (in Canada, don't worry) and hope to be one day a fine whisky taster.
