Originally bearing the name "1780", the year the Distillery was founded, this whiskey now features its age statement as its name. This is the Master's Blender supreme example of the Jameson tradition of maturing whiskey in Spanish Oloroso sherry casks. The Master Blender has hand-picked three whiskeys which have been matured in seasoned Olorosso sherry casks for at least 18 years. Then Jameson 18 Years Old is transferred to american bourbon barrels for a further 6 months, to put the final finishing touches to this unique and complex whiskey.

- Color
- amber/gold
- Nose
- Decent amount of unmalted/unripened/grassy irish smelling stuff. Some oldish sherry, some honey, some menthal. light vanilla oak, but not much. dry nose, not overly complex. Some decent spices playing a roll. Warming nose I guess.
- Body
- light boddied
- Palate
- Reflects the nose quite well, some corny grain appears, muted sweet notes. Whispers of oak, dry cinnamon. dry barley sugars. Very palatable-light and easy drinking.
- Finish
- Lingers a bit, not super long. Not much different from the development. Finishes very dry and a bit spicey. very little alcohol burn here at all.
Tastes as if they took standard Jameson blend and simply let it go on longer. Maybe thats accurate? Not sure. Not the best Irish blend in the world, however if your a big Jameson head you will certainly enjoy. A bit pricey for what your getting in my opinion. If this whisky was 20 dollars cheaper, would definitely improve the review marks

- Color
- warm golden
- Nose
- Leather, unnamed fruit, cooling alcohol
- Body
- Silky, heavy, slightly oily
- Palate
- Grapefruit, like sitting in a grove in summer warm, mild and slightly earthy, caramel and molasses
- Finish
- A moderate finish just the right burn, grapefruit stays with you
A simple (in a good way) and satisfying whiskey, great mouth feel, soft and warm quite refreshing, you may have to search this jameson out but it is well worth it one of my favorite irish whiskeys

- Color
- Dark Amber
- Nose
- Over Ripe Fruit, Citrus and Linseed Oil.
- Body
- Medium, Mouth Filling.
- Palate
- Over Ripe Oranges, A Little Honey and the taste of chewing on a Wheat Stalk. (For those Farm Boys out There).
- Finish
- Long Slightly Sweet and again the Wheat Stalk.
Not to Complex but Very Good. The different flavors seem to blend together and form One Very Pleasant Taste. I Liked It.
