Glenmorangie Burgundy Wood Finish
Review by Frombeyond
- Color
- gold
- Nose
- lots and lots of wood, marshmallows, lots of other complexities, perfume and exotic fuit aromas
- Body
- hard water makes this bigger and oily, but definetly not as complex as the nose.
- Palate
- fruity and simple , some creminess
- Finish
- long and hot and pepperminty on the sides of the mouth
The nose is great and multi-dimensional the rest of the experience is run of the mill
Glenmorangie Burgundy Wood Finish
Review by ColoradoDram
- Color
- Medium amber.
- Nose
- Grassy citrus, sweet oaky red grapes. Capers. A bit of sulphur (it took me a couple years to finally be able to detect this scent).
- Body
- Medium-light.
- Palate
- Very winey, whistle-wetting (this really draws out the saliva on the back of the tongue!). Not complex.
- Finish
- Short and cool malt on the tongue, but a very long and rather hot dry wine down the throat persists. Really a nice finish - you can milk this one for quite awhile..
This is the jumping-on point I would recommend for a nice dry wine finish. Not complex but a really good finishing scotch. The sulphur on the nose can be combatted with a dash of water.
