On 18th October 2001 this 1975 vintage Glenmorangie was filled into casks previously used to mature fine, sweet Malaga wine (Malaga Dulce); the rich sweetness forming a perfect marriage with the subtle complexity of Glenmorangie. The result is a truly outstanding, exceptional expression. A full-flavoured malt with an unmistakable balance of sweet fruitiness and spiciness. Of the 2000 bottles available, numbers 2-240 are reserved for ‘kindred spirits’. Each is hand-numbered and presented in a beautifully engraved wooden box.

Artisan cask is a beautiful expression resulting from our unique commitment to wood management and almost 20 years of research. Made from slow-growing air-dried oak – the most porous of oaks - the casks were first filled with specially selected bourbon before being sent to Tain to being filled with Glenmorangie new spirit.
