Glenkinchie Distillers Edition
Review by ColoradoDram
- Color
- Orangy amber.
- Nose
- Wet hay/grass, a fermenting sour apple...but kind of sweet.
- Body
- Very oily and syrupy, meaty for a Lowland.
- Palate
- Confirms the nose, hay with floral fruit.
- Finish
- Medium heat, rather long, very smooth and excellently dry, A classic and memorable one.
If the standard Glenkinchie is an aperitif, this is the after dinner dessert (no need to pair with any food - this dram provides enough chewy mouthfeel on its own). A unique and great Lowland expression!
