With deeper, more assertive flavors and an incredibly smooth finish, No. 12, a classic 90-proof Dickel whisky, combines older whiskies selected by Master Distiller John Lunn to create a richness that maintains Dickel's signature smooth finish.

To my taste, beats Jack Daniel's thoroughly.

A very fine Tennessee whiskey produced just down the road from Jack Daniels' offerings. Simple, easy, smooth drinking.

    Color
    Deep Amber
    Nose
Oaky with vanilla and more oak.
    Body
    Thick and full bodied.
    Palate
Everything a bourbon should be. Vanilla peeks out from behind the initial leathery oak and powerful orange notes.
    Finish
Finished long and strong. It works overtime on your taste buds as it goes through many layers of Kentucky sweat and tears.

There are many bourbons, but only one Dickel 12. It is an amazing value of a bourbon. Try it once and you will be hooked. Out of respect, only drink it straight. Enjoy.

There are only two Tennessee whiskeys (not considering the variants of the two distillers). My opinion in a side by side taste test ... George Dickel's preferred. High score because there are only two of thses distinctive bourbons.
