Review by ColoradoDram
- Color
- Light orange-tinged gold.
- Nose
- Sweet malt, rose, honey bourbon.
- Body
- Medium-light body, medium oily.
- Palate
- Floral sugar, malty brew after a bit of swishing.
- Finish
- Light, unassuming, short, no drastic change or revelation.
It’s interesting – I like nosing this one more than the standard Cragganmore 12, and it definitely adds a more winey-floral sweet flavor, making it a good dessert choice. However, for overall breadth of malt flavor, I prefer the standard 12.

- Color
- dark amber
- Nose
- Musk, strong Oak, earthy.
- Body
- light bodied
- Palate
- peat, nutty.
- Finish
- lacking finish. Rather short, and boring.
This is a very smooth whisky, but not fruity. It lacks finish, I was impressed by the smoothness, but quite disappointed at how much it had cost ~ $100 USD. It is worth trying for its smoothness and oak tones. I would still rate it highly.
