Unique to the world of Irish whiskeys Connemara Cask Strength is the only Irish whiskey to be produced from its natural strength. Surprisingly smooth at 60% alcohol by volume, the cask strength captures the essence of Connemara. Natural and undiluted, not chill-filtered or coloured in any way, Connemara Cask Strength reflects the rugged nature of the famous region in the West of Ireland. As extraordinary as the landscape, this whiskey is exceptional. Because it is so natural and undiluted, the level of alcohol differs between bottlings, and so labels are printed specially for each batch. The pure clear spring water from the Cooley Mountains united with the peated malted barley give the Connemara Cask Strength a rare flavour. Slowly maturing for long years in oak casks, the natural ingredients and traditional distilling methods employed by Cooley Distillery create a whiskey, which is simply spectacular.

- a smokey earthy, homesick irish aroma; smell of the irish bog and the irish mist from the sea in a glass

- so smooth for packing the full whiskey punch it does...it rolls across the tongue with the taste and scent of ireland on a rainy day. the surprise of the peaty taste is satisfying initially, but it could stand a little more character and bite to keep us interested for the longer evening session of drinking

- a cheerful filling of the senses overcoming the mouth then the mind and soul, a fun but serious whiskey. it keeps up its peaty, cheerful and fun taste

- a warm, fun and satisfying sip, great for starting a fun evening or, as I like it, a companion for a good read or an evening's night cap

- Hot and Sweet and HARSH!! with lingering smoke also Chocolate again

- Not long at all, but left notes of sweet malt and some vanilla
This is a Cask Strength Whiskey but left me wanting more. I'am not sure about this one, but there was something about it I didn't like.Tasted like grain alcohol with flavoring added, Not done right..
