- Color
- Blended Scotch Amber.
- Nose
- Apples, Cotton, cloves, smoke. Get out the rolling pin!! 30/33
- Body
- Medium thick. The legs appeared quickly, and I am surprised as this is supposed to contain only Whiskies aged at least 18 years.
- Palate
- Apples, the Oranges, and then .. Peat. The peat dominated the brew increasingly as I drank it. It was pleasant, understated Islay, with its edged blended off. Once it was watered, all of teh subtleties were gone and only the peaty water remained 21/30
- Finish
- The finish was fine. It is as smooth as you could want, but had the oily, peaty aftertaste of a cheap peated Scotch. 21/30

- Color
- Amber + 2 (Due to E150A)
- Nose
- Sweet, subtle, and fruity. A bit malty.
- Body
- Medium body, did not test legs (angel's tears) unfortunately.
- Palate
- Sweet, butterscotch, reminiscent of glenlivet, aberlour, vary faint peat and smoke, fruity, raisins, probably from glenallachie malt, very very very smooth. Smoothness probably from good grain casks. High complexity level for a blend. Outstanding.
- Finish
- Decent finish. Do not add water, it will drown the whisky. Drink neat, adding ice will tarnish the flavors. If you must add ice, use a large cube if possible. Beautiful stuff. Highly recommended.
Amazing Blend. Truly a great buy and puts some malts under the shade. Hints of Aberlour, Glenlivet and some slight smoke and tiny peat. Very refreshing and a good finish. Unfortunately, it is chill-filtered, has E150A, and lower than 46% ABV, but has a competitive sophistication and complexity compared to its primary competitor(s).

- Color
- Orange/amber gold.
- Nose
- Sour apples, wet soil, heather, slight butter.
- Body
- Astringent and gritty.
- Palate
- A decent blend with seeming emphasis in the Highland and Lowland area, grassy and dry, a bit of that uber-distilled copper taste.
- Finish
- Smooth and warm, honoring its age, though not much memorable/special beyond a little toffee kick at the very tail end.
This is a good value if you want to get a taste of elder scotch characteristics (mostly the smooth finish). More gritty and less refined than JW Gold, but a good taste. This is one you can let your guests put an ice cube in, if necessary.
