I like this scotch. it really grows on you. The nose is really dull but this is still an easy drinking and speyside-like dram. Well made.

- Alcohol and burnt wood with some spice.

- Gritty. Heavey

Not as good as JW Green. Alcohol burn too much overpowers the real flavor.

- Color
- Dark amber
- Nose
- Sweet, spicy, and iodine smell. Very subtle and simple indeed.
- Body
- Light body.
- Palate
- Mint chocolate, dark fudge, slightly peaty, smoke, and ash. Not very intimidating and simple.
- Finish
- Nice, decent finish. Lingers on until your next dram.
A wonderful blended whisky for first time whisky drinkers.

- Color
- Medium amber in the glass
- Nose
- Nose of orange peel and oak commands attention immediately
- Body
- Medium
- Palate
- Subtle grains are dashed by myriad of flavors: toffee spice, golden raisins, and finally subtle oak, but the flavors are way off balance
- Finish
- Good warm finish of oaky malt.
Still a good dram, and don't make the mistake of tasting just once; there tends to be much ado here, but somewhat wrecked by the havoc of random flavors making no particular statement.

- Color
- Amber
- Nose
- Sweet pears and prunes with a touch of sea air.
- Body
- Light to medium.
- Palate
- Deliciously sweet, slightly malty.
- Finish
- 10 to 15 seconds, dry and salty.
A terrific blend, easily as good as the cheaper single malts. Blows its price-range competitors such as JW Black out of the water.

- Color
- Honey gold
- Nose
- Sweet luvin candy caramel business by a campmfire that went out days ago.
- Body
- Heavy with a smooth texture.
- Palate
- Honey, vanilla, caramel with additional sweet nothing's
- Finish
- A long cool finish filled with lingering subtleties of smoked candy
One of the best blended scotches ever made. Shooting it aint for everybody but as a mixer or on the rocks, you can't go wrong. Try the 21 or 25 year old for something special. Fine stuff.

- Color
- Amber. Slightly evident caramel, although not heavy enough to compromise flavor, I'd think.
- Nose
- Honey, speyside fruits, vanilla, sea air, and very restrained peat.
- Body
- Medium.
- Palate
- Vanilla, cinnamon, faint wood, and the slightest sensation of sea water. An ever so slight Highland tinge upon an otherwise Speyside-dominated dram.
- Finish
- Small hints of sherry smoke, peat, vanilla, and heather, me thinks.
A solid economy blend. There are better, and for slightly cheaper, but a nice dependable taste of Speyside with some nicely done grain integration in the background. One of the few of the big sellers that is actually decent.
