Embodying all the centuries-old traditions of distilling at Bushmills, this is one of the very few Irish malt whiskeys available. Each drop of Bushmills Malt is carefully distilled three times and is made from 100% malted barley. The single malt Whiskey is matured for at least 10 years in specially selected American bourbon barrels stored in the warehouses adjoining the distillery. It's here that the whiskey develops its full flavour, well-balanced character and light golden hue.

    Color
    Amber, looks like Whisky.
    Nose
Fruit, especially lemons. Vanilla, sugary sweetness. Ginger Absolutely no smoke or peat whatever.
    Body
About what you would expect. It\'s not so old as to be syrupy.
    Palate
Lovely on the tongue, like a kiss with a lemon drop in your mouth. It avoids the bitterness and burn of say Jameson. For being a single malt, it\'s surprisingly smooth. Almost as if it had son grain content. But, of course that\'s impossible.
    Finish
    Mild finish, easy easy drinking.

Fantastic Whisky. Mellow and smooth. This is a light Irish that is refined and well aged. Id have to have a glass of the 21 year right beside it to see if it is any better. But why bother? This Whisky is wonderful at just 10 years.

    Color
    sun bleached wheat
    Nose
    floral, sherry, coying sweetness
    Body
smooth; competent but nothing to write home about.
    Palate
big copper tang, ash? something bloody or metallic.
    Finish
    medium finish, unremarkable.

A competent Irish whiskey that for the price still left us with the buyers remorse. Unlikely to offend but highly unremarkable to experienced Scotch drinkers.

    Color
    A wheaty amber colour
    Nose
Rich honey, vanilla, mild peppery notes, sugary sweetness
    Body
    Young slightly brash but inviting
    Palate
Sweet spice, fruit, honey and caramel, woody overtones
    Finish
Warmth, spice & pepper, comes in light inviting and warming but ends a little quick for my liking

Overall a great Irish single malt I must say. Definately one that I very much enjoy partaking in my only real criticism is the sort finish but that being said it is a young malt.

    Color
Wheat in color - a touch darker
    Nose
Nutty (Almonds, Walnuts), a whisp of smoke and a bit of dried fruit (oranges perhaps?)
    Body
Very smooth and sweet - a little oily - not terribly stout, not terribly weak, a good balance.
    Palate
Vanilla, toffee, coffee sugar and cream - some banana, all with a small bite.
    Finish
Lightly warming finish, not very hot - maybe too easy to drink.

A very satisfying Malt - very easy to enjoy. A great place to start for beginners. A staple for everyday drams. Never leaves one with a headache or other ills associated with cusumption of lesser drinks. I'm giving this one very high marks because it has mass appeal and is very unoffending.
