The Turnberry 10th Limited Edition is the 4th release in the outstanding limited edition Bruichladdich Links series which combines the superb bottling of Bruichladdich 14 year old with the art of Graeme W. Baxter, the World's leading Golf Artist. A links course is considered to be the most natural form of golf course. Situated by the sea, links courses use the natural topography of undulating, sandy terrain which 'links' the beach to the inner, firmer land as opposed to manicured inland courses which are artificially constructed on clay or chalky soil. Bruichladdich Links is a series of limited edition bottlings chosen by Jim McEwan, our Master Distiller.

- Color
- light gold (slightly watered)
- Nose
- strong medicinal alcohol, slight peat
- Body
- strong body, silky and smooth
- Palate
- strong Iodine, brine and peat
- Finish
- has a longer decay from the warmth, moving to strong afterburn of alcohol which gradually gives way to bitter sweetness which lingers at length
Clearly a quality whiskey. Reminds me of a cross between a Laphroaig and Macallan kask strength.

Each of the courses commemorated is actually a different scotch. You can't just label them "links." Please specify the particular bottle you sampled. I am discussing the Vancouver Club course. I have had many Bruichladdich bottles in my time. This is by far one of my favorites. It is a 16 year.

- Color
- Reddish gold.
- Nose
- Subtle, with hints of leather and wood.
- Body
- Thick and syrupy.
- Palate
- Hints of iodine and peat, with a kind of bitter fruitiness - like slightly sour grapes or apples.
- Finish
- Very smooth, with a leathery quality.
I had the St. Andrews issue. Almost put me in mind of Speyside as much as it seemed like an Islay.

- Color
- Bronze.
- Nose
- Slightly earthy and floral.
- Body
- Slightly gritty.
- Palate
- A bit bitter and almost tangy.
- Finish
- Has a nice finish. Hints of fruit and flowers - refreshing and summery.
I was drinking the Saint Andrews. It had a bitterness that I found unpleasant, and tasted very young.
