Bruichladdich 12 years old is a new addition to our core range which currently includes 10, 15, 17 and 20 year old. Jim McEwan, our Master Distiller has personally selected oak casks from the Bruichladdich warehouses and carefully vetted them together to create an individual style or cuvee, which is full, rich and complex, with warmth and balance. Like all our bottlings, this First Edition Bruichladdich 12 Year Old is caramel free. After maturation our short-side warehouses, it has been bottled at 46% without chill filtration in the Distillery, using Islay spring water

Review by Rowey
- Color
- Pale gold.
- Nose
- Fruity, dried apricots and pears, Light sea-mist and smoke.
- Body
- Medium - lovely mouth-feel.
- Palate
- As the nose would suggest. Add touches of vanilla, spice and buttery toffee.
- Finish
- Long and dry with a peppery woodiness.
Extra points for no E150, no chill filtration and for being beautifully presented at an outstanding price (at least in Australia). A delightful spring afternoon dram.
