Established in 1779, Bowmore Distillery is one of the oldest distilleries in Scotland and nestles on the shores of Loch Indaal on the Inner Hebridean Isle of Islay. Bowmore is universally regarded as the best balanced of all the Islay malts, as characterised by its wonderfully rich and complex flavours.

- Color
- Dark honey
- Nose
- I get peat, oak, a flowery scent and as it develops, a little honey
- Body
- Medium-full body
- Palate
- Peat, slight saltiness. Confirmation of the nose.
- Finish
- Balanced finish, long but not overwhelming like a Lagavulin. A little dry. Good stuff.
Complex peat. Can be served after a Highland Park ans before an Ardbeg, in terms of the amount of peat. I will come back to it. Very nice addition to my collection.
