Bowmore 18 Year Old
Review by Anonymous
- Color
- amber
- Nose
- Smoky, with some peat, nougat and cookie-dough. Slightly briny.
- Body
- Full, chewy.
- Palate
- Nougat and caramel are followed by smoke, some salt, a whiff of sherry, chocolate, ripe banana. Definitely some wood as well.
- Finish
- Lang and dry. Salty, peaty and smoky, some nutty flavours (almonds?) and wood.
Lovely evening malt. The nougaty flavours are unique, for as far as I kow, and realy pleasant. The peat and smoke are less prominent here than in the 12 yrs old Enigma, but definitely present in a refined way. Best savoured neat or with a little water.
