Ardmore Traditional Cask
Review by Trevor Lynch
- Color
- golden caramel. very nice.
- Nose
- Fruit and smoke. Fruitcake, earthy, organic
- Body
- Full, rich
- Palate
- Peat and toffee, fruit rinds, vanilla hints, lovely. Smokey, but different in a way. Intriguing.
- Finish
- Short to medium finish, not the greatest in the world, vanilla and fruit and smoke fade away into an almost toffee flavor.
You definitely have to let this open up for a bit. It's worth the wait. I absolutely love the value you get with this whisky, $29.99 here in the states. It used to be $59.99. Probably because the lack of availability. This is my go to, everyday scotch. Its a very interesting, but straight forward, in your face whisky. I love it. It's not in my top 5 , but still very good for what you are paying.
